Design for “The History Of Iranian Cinema” Multimedia
The Bod-Gostar Rayaneh Company was active in producing software and multimedias.
Designing the company’s logo and letterhead, and also multimedia CD packaging of The history of Iranian Cinema was given to Mesh-studio in late 1990s.
This series was one of the first multimedia productions in the country and was welcomed greatly, specifically by cinema lovers. One of the reasons was the design of the series which was brand-new and conceptual at the time.
To design this series, it was decided to use Qajar era motifs since the period was the beginning of cinema in Iran. Seven-color tiles were a part of the pictorial background of that period. Therefore, they were used as the background of the design. This colorfulness and artistic patterns were a kind of abstract concept of the variety of perspectives in Cinema. But a more important element in this design, was an image of an old filming camera, that after a long search, was borrowed from a collection owner. This is the same camera that was used by Mohsen Makhmalbaf in Nasser-e-din Shah the Cinema Actor movie.
