Design for “Goldoneh, Mash Rahim, Soghra and Others” documentary

The film is about the life and activities of Ismail Khalaj, one of the directors and actors of the “Drama Workshop” between 1968 and 1978.

This documentary was directed and produced by Homayaoon Imami in 2018 and I designed its poster. The movie is about the life and activities of Ismael Khalaj, one of the actors and directors of Play Workshop during 1967 to 1978. Khalaj focused on outcasted characters like lumpens, prostitutes, addicts, pimps, etc. and screened their lives and associations skillfully. An event that is pictured not in a moral manner but based on their own jargons and languages for the very first time. Using colorful themes’ contrast and even the dominant blackness of the scene stresses on Khalaj’s perspective and acts. Biting, caustic and impressive! But it is not all of Ismael Khalaj and misses the parts of him chased out of the scene.
