Design for Tehran Water and Sewage Company
In Spring 1994, I was a student and I made two posters about “water thrift week” ordered by the Tehran Water and Sewage Company; they were printed in 100*70 sizes , published and installed in the streets of Tehran.
When we was working on the sketch of the posters, different techniques were taken into consideration. we aimed at showing beyond the reach and scarce nature of water and I found out that the best performance could be making maquette and photography. The poster parts consisted of cardboard mannequin, arid soil, an air-brushed background and of course a glass of water. The lighting and analog photography of this mise-en-scène was done by Mehrdad Doferi.
The other poster was done with imaging and collage in analog form and the theme was water shortage and depletion of water supplies. Later, similar samples of this design were created and published by the Tehran Water and Sewage Company.
